"The Way Home" was inspired by the winding waterways leading us home after sailing around Vancouver Island. We faced rain, huge waves, and strong winds on our journey but when the sun broke through, and the sea calmed down, it was truly beautiful.
"On Top of it All" shows sailboats on the horizon giving the impression of being on top of it all. Inspired by Japanese scroll paintings, I defy traditional perspective, inviting the viewer to read the painting from top to bottom.
Sailing through the gap on a cloud filled day is one of life's simple pleasures to me. Feeling small among mother nature's elements commands my deepest respect. This painting has my signature texture and subject matter and comes in a contemporary white metal frame.
