When sailing the Caribbean on a tall ship I did a lot of sketches. I found one in my sketchbook recently and was instantly taken back to the feelling of being on that big ship on the high seas. Re-ignited with enthusiasm about the possibility of appearing as a pirate I painted this fun and colourful piece. It brings humour and a bit of whimsy to the memory.
