Winter Harbour
oil and cold wax
30" x 36"
Winter Harbour is on Saturna Island. We spent some time in there last summer on our boat. There is a small narrows called Boat Passage which you can see at the bottom. It is tricky to get into as you need to watch the tides and flows. Once in it is very safe and quiet. The other entrance is larger and you can see boats on the horizon aiming for it looking for a safe haven as the clouds shift overhead. I wanted to create a very still and peaceful feeling to this painting. Comes in a contemporary white metal frame.
